01
Remove and vacuum
Pull mats and trash, then vacuum from the top down with a crevice tool and a detail brush working debris toward the nozzle.
02
Choose the right dilution
An all-purpose cleaner is diluted differently for carpet, plastic and leather. Stronger is not better — over-strong dilutions can discolor trim and dry out leather.
03
Agitate, then extract or wipe
Spray the towel or brush rather than the panel when working near screens, gauges and headliners.
04
Finish matte, not greasy
Use a low-gloss interior dressing on plastics. Shiny dashes reflect into the windshield and attract dust.
