Clean the glass before you clean the glass
New or neglected glass often carries a film of oils and old dressing. Decontaminate or polish it once, and maintenance becomes simple.

The two-towel method
One towel applies and cleans, a second dry waffle-weave towel buffs. Never let cleaner dry on the surface.

Tint safety
Use an ammonia-free cleaner on any tinted or coated glass, and avoid saturating window seals and defroster lines.

Do the edges
Roll windows down an inch and clean the top edge — that line is what shows up first when the window is up.
